Perfectly Imperfect Mom

{via}
I am in love with Victoria Secret. I know this is not a new store and I have been shopping there forever but it had been a long time since I bought any bras there just because I was being frugal about it. I always hate spending a lot on bras and almost forgot how amazing their bras really are. I had been getting really sick of the ones I had because they just felt like crap on and so I told my husband yesterday I was splurging on some new ones.  I went to this place called Pembroke Falls which is amazing. I love going there. It is like an outside town center. Its new and beautiful. For some reason it always reminds me of Christmas. So I went and walked around and had some "me" time and went to this store Love Culture first to see if they had any tanks but they didn't so I headed over to VS. Since I am part of the Big Booby Club I never buy push up bras, because, well my boobs are pretty awesome as is so I opted for two Sexy Tee Demi bras since they were 2 for $49 and I got one in hot pink and another in buff.  Then I also got a black bra with multi- way straps. I think that one was $39. I can't find that one online.

I also got some fun samples in the mail yesterday! P&G sent a sample of Pantene Pro-V, Head and Shoulders and Tampax pearl tampons. Woot! Woot! I love getting samples especially when there are three in one shot! I was surprised because I don't remember signing up for them but I was excited. I was so excited I took a picture lol. So here ya go!

Today I spent with my awesome sister, Ashley. She and I are only 19 months apart so we grew up very close. We have had our ups and downs through high school but have been pretty close our whole lives.

I called her and told her I wanted to go shopping. I had to find some good sales because I was only allowing myself to spend $35 max!

We went to a few different places and nothing really sparked my interest until she suggested NY & Co. and there is was! A whole area of sale items. I was very exited because they had really cute sunglasses for $2.99! Seriously? YES! I have never seen sunglasses so cheap before. I was just telling someone last night how I really wanted a pair of big fun sunglasses and I got two pairs!  They also had this funky wallet and cowl neck scarf. I got all of this for just under $17! I also got a set of 3 different sizes of hoop earrings from Dots for $3. I stayed under budget and was able to go to lunch with Ash.

{one} what is your happiest childhood memory?
I have a lot. I always loved going on vacation with my family because we always had so much fun. I think one of the best ones was going to Utah and Vegas. We went skiing and it was my first time seeing snow. I was about eight and I was really good at it. I remember having snowball fights with my brother, sister and cousin. We also went to this old town that was like the Wild Wild West and then we went to Vegas and stayed at Circus Circus and my cousin and brother scared the crap out of my sister and me with telling us scary stories and they even did Bloody Mary in the bathroom and came out with ketchup all over their faces. It was probably one of the most memorable vacations.

{two} what is your middle name?
Patricia after my Dad Patrick.

{three} what’s the habit you’re most proud of breaking?
hmm probably driving like a maniac.

{four} what do you order when you order chinese food?
Honey Chicken!

{five} what’s the best bargain you’ve ever found at a garage sale or thrift store?
I actually got a really cute purse at a thrift store. I was always kind of weirded out by those places but my friend wanted to go and I couldn't do the whole clothes thing but I did look at purses and you can actually see the purse in the post A is for Awesome, its the animal print one. It was only like $7 and it was on sale so less then that and they don't charge tax!

{six} what’s the best costume you’ve ever worn?
I was such a nut when it came to Halloween so I changed my mind every other day but I remember one year I wanted to be a vampire and I painted my face and drew a widows peak on my head and had the blood coming down my face and everyone else was dressed really girlie and cute. I was really hardcore that year.

{seven} who’s your favorite game show host?
Pat Sajak, I loved Wheel of Fortune when I was younger.

{eight} what’s your favorite breakfast food?
I actually don't really like breakfast food. It all seems so greasy and gross to me. I do like french toast once in a blue moon.

{nine} what’s your least favorite word?
Retard, I think it is such a useless word.

{ten} describe something that happened to you for which you have no explanation.
Hmm I don't really know. I will have to think about it and get back to you.

okay, your turn!

I am so excited for this season of Glee! I can not wait to see it tonight. I actually saw a commercial for it about 2 seconds ago and had to write about my excitement. I am in love with Mark Salling. He is my favorite singer on the show. He needs more musical numbers. When he sang Loser I almost died. He is HOT!

It's Saturday! Hello weekend!

Today I ended up waking up sorta, kinda early because I was having a weird nightmare about Freddy Cougar, yeah seriously!

Then I decided that I was going to go to Pier 1 Imports to pick up a few things I had seen online. I called to make sure they had the Magnet Board that I really wanted and they did! Woot Woot! One left and it is all mine. I also was in desperate need of some kind of hooks to hang up my purses since the other ones I tried just fell down and they had the cutest Seaglass Embossed Wall Hooks on sale for $7.99! I am obsessed and in love with them. They hold all my purses too. Bran, put it up immediately for me. Love him! Then I also needed something to hold my earrings and they had this cute section of jewelry and accessories there that I had no idea was in the store and I found this cute little bird one. It is so cute and goes well with the theme of my side of the room which is antiquish, if that's even a word.
Then after that Bran, my sister and I went to the movies to see Easy A and it was so funny! I love Emma Stone, she seriously rocks. Her humor and timing is amazing.

Now I am off to study for my two tests I have on Monday, lucky me! Below are pictures of my new additions to our room

I definitely have a shopping bug. I shouldn't be spending all my extra babysitting money on clothes but I can't help it. I went to the mall thinking I was going to get some cheap t-shirts to wear to my nannying jobs and then I went into Forever21 and saw this skirt I wanted forever ago. I swear I think I was going to get it for New Years and never did. They had one left and I had grabbed this awesome green flowy tank with a cute back and thought this could be a match made in heaven. I tried it on and LOVED it. I of course took a picture there since I still don't have a long mirror. My BFF is giving me hers since she is getting rid of it which is why I have yet to buy one. I will take more pics when I can but here is one for now.

{one} have you ever won a trophy? if yes, for what?
My sister and I won a trophy for a three legged race one 4th of July. lol

{two} what was your favorite subject in school?
This is a hard one, I didn't really like anything in high school, I skipped a lot. Middle school I loved peer counseling and now I am a psych major so I guess that makes sense. Oh and Chorus.

{three} what time do you get up in the morning?
Alarm went off at 7 and I snoozed till 7:25. This only occurs on Tues. and Wed. other days I sleep till I want to get up so usually 9 or 10AM.

{four} if you could open your own business, what would it be?
I am a nanny and in a sense it's like having your own business. I wouldn't mind actually having a nanny agency though.

{five} if you could spend the evening with one rock star/band, who would it be?
Jack Johnson, hands down my all time favorite ever!

{six} what sitcom character reminds you of you?
I am trying to think what sitcoms I still watch or have watched in the past. Oh! I got it, Michelle Tanner from Full House. I am the youngest in my family and have always been super cute.

{seven} what are the 3 most important things to you?
Being happy with myself, if I am not happy with myself I can't be happy with anything else in my life, my husband and my relationship and of course family and friends.

{eight} chips or popcorn?
Hmm, I am not a huge chip or popcorn eater. It really depends on what I am doing or eating. If I am eating a sub I get chips, if I am watching a movie at the theater then popcorn otherwise I don't really eat either.

{nine} have you ever ordered anything from an infomercial?
I am trying to think...I know I told my husband I really wanted this ring from QVC but I don't think I actually saw it on TV.

{ten} what is one thing that you are grateful for today?
only one? My husband!

now it’s your turn!
happy wednesday…

Last night I convinced my awesome husband to go with me and get the boots. I couldn't wait till later in the week. I just had to have them! So we went and got them and they were right where I hid them. Yeah, that's right, I hid them just in case! Here are my amazing boots. This is what I wore to my classes today.
This isn't my room or mirror so ignore the funky mirror.

I am obsessed with boots. I love them. This is a reason I need to get out of South Florida. There is little reason to wear boots since our fall is still hot and our winters are like everyone else's Fall.

Today Ash and I went to Target so she could go through every clearance section possible in the store and of course I noticed the ton of boots in the shoe section.  The first pair I see I fall in love with. I was so in love with them. I put them on and took a picture and sent them to Branden begging him to let me get them (obviously I am not great at saving money). I usually know this means I have negotiate. So I tell him I am making an extra $20 babysitting on Wed. because I will also have Devon and then I will be working both my other part time jobs. I send him the picture and of course he loves them on me and says "you can definitely get them next week" lol. I love it! I bet if they didn't have a little heel he would of been like no you just got a pair of boots 2 weeks ago which he did mention before he saw the pic I sent him.

I am dying, I can not wait till next week. I think I will get them Friday before I babysit so I can wear them and show the girls. They are so cute. They are 13 and 8 and then the baby just turned 1 so the girls and I are throwing the baby a mini bday party just us four. The girls are like my little sisters since I have been watching them since the 8 year old was 2 and she is a little fashionista. The 13 year old is getting into clothes that I like so its always fun to show her new things I get.

Ok here is a pic of the boots.

I am so excited to see the movie Easy A. I LOVE comedies. I am not a huge romance girl, I get bored with a lot of them so when see a comedy I get super pumped. The other night I was watching a show and they were playing sneak peaks from Easy A and they showed this clip and I was cracking up.
I love this clip because it's so realistic. When you hear a song and you are like I hate this song and then you get it stuck in your head and end up loving and singing your heart out to it. Or maybe it's just me?

Clip was posted in another post because for some reason it won't let me do it on this one. Weird!

Today is 9 years since the September 11th attacks. What a sad day. I remember being woken up by my friend and turning on the news and being really confused. I thought a building somewhere was just on fire then as I watched and realized what was going on I was completely freaked out.  I remember getting in my car and driving to my Dad's work and watching the news with him and my grandpa. Then the first building collapsed and I watched my grandpa get upset. I could not believe it. That whole day or maybe it was the next I can't remember now I just know I watched the news and cried and felt so horrible for those people who were in the planes and buildings. I thought about how scared they must have been.

I remember everyone buying American flags and putting them on their cars and they were everywhere. Firemen were standing on the streets collecting donations for the families of those lost and those who were in need of medical care. It was so surreal. It was such an insane thing to live through. I never thought something like this would happen in my lifetime. Now we have a war going on, another thing I never thought I would experience and thankfully I am here and not there.

I am also so thankful that there was no need for a draft. I remember at one point people saying there might have been one and I was freaked out because they said they were going to make women do it too. It was all just so crazy back then. Now I feel like we are almost forgetting what we all felt in those days, months and years right after. People don't have the flags hanging from their car windows anymore or out in their front yards. I really think we need to get one. Why not? Why not show our pride in our country and not wait for another event like this to happen to unify us once again.

Ok so I am in desperate need of a new layout and heck a new name for my blog! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This week has been somewhat of a bust for me.  I only worked 2 days since there is a Jewish holiday going on so the other two babysitting jobs I have were busy celebrating or taking the days off of work.  I got some crappy news about my Dad needing to lose weight ASAP or he could very well have a heart attack. To say I was a complete mess is an understatement. I also have a lot of homework I need to get done. UHG!

Some positives are...
1. Branden brought me home roses earlier in the week because I wasn't feeling so hot.
2. I went out and bought a bunch of healthy food to try to at least keep myself in good health.
3. Our internet is working after being messed up for two days!
4. I just got a check in the mail from school reimbursing me for my tuition at the other school I am taking a class at making us only having to of paid $80 for classes this semester for me!

So not a total bust but it had its moments. Thankfully I have my man by my side to make me feel better. I was being super "needy" last night. Just wanting to hug Bran a lot and cuddle with him and he was super sweet.

Then he turned on football and I was outta there!

My husband and I have been sorta, kinda following the Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover.  Ok not completely but we have been trying to apply his rules to our lives without completely giving up our every little luxury.  We have been trying to clean up our debt (husband's credit cards, small student loan and car payments) and look into smarter choices on savings and future investments.

I love Dave Ramsey. We just started watching his show and I just think he is a really smart man.  He went from becoming a millionaire to bankrupt and had to rebuild his wealth and did it the right way the next time around. Doesn't live beyond his means, ect.

My husband and I are fortunate to not have the typical debt of two people in their mid twenties.  My husband has a small student loan, he has 3 credit cards and a car payment. He just paid off one credit card today! Hoo Rah! His car will be paid off in December and he thinks we can get the other two credit cards paid off in the next 4 to 6 months.

I went through bankruptcy last year and it sucked. I was fortunate to learn a huge lesson from it and will NEVER have a credit card again. I think Dave Ramsey's program has shown us how to make the right choices for our future. I am so grateful we found out about him at our ages instead of later on in life with the debt a lot of the people that call into his show have.

This is another reason I think its best for us to wait to have a child. I really want to start a life with a child the right way. Not because I so desperately want a baby. I want to start a family with Bran because we are ready and financially secure.

I want to teach our future children that debt should not be the norm. We should all live within our means as much as possible. We don't use credit cards anymore, whatever we buy its from our bank accounts and that is the way I like it! We are okay knowing that we will have to sacrifice on having super nice cars or a huge home. I never want to go through a financial crisis like so many do.

Thank you Dave Ramsey for being a huge inspiration!

Well AF reared her ugly head right on time.  I hate to say it I am not complaining. After a year of TTC I feel like I am giving up for a few months.

Branden and I want to get Disney seasonal passes which means they are for a year and you can go anytime there isn't blackout dates. The blackout dates are basically winter break for kids in school, a week or two in April and the summer.  This is fine with us since as a Floridian you know better then to go to Disney in the summer or when kids have off of school.  So the point is if we bought these tickets and I got pregnant I probably wouldn't be able to go on a lot of rides that I would want to and then we'd have a baby so would we want to really go after that with a baby?

No, these tickets aren't the only deciding factor of waiting a few more months to TTC. The other thing is I am tired of being so cautious because I could be pregnant. I am getting really sick of it. I am also sick of the F'd up cycles I am having. I also need to focus on school since I will be done in May. All of these things are just pointing to waiting at least till November/ December to start TTC again. I think it will be hard because every time I hear about someone having a baby or getting pregnant I am like a nut and want one but I think we need to do things we need to get done first before TTC. This year has been a pain when it comes to TTC and I think we need to stop worrying about it.  I also really want to save some more money since our cruise took some of our savings from us since we missed a week of work and splurged a little there.

I still plan on keeping up with my blog. I am wondering if I should change to title though. Then again watch me change my mind next month lol. Oh well.

So we are in the Keys this weekend at my parents vacation home and last night I asked my mom if I could take a sleeping pill because I had allergies and was sharing a room with Ashley and her dog (Bran was back home working) and Ash and her dog have an insane case of the mouth breather train snorer syndrome. My mom gave me one and I passed out. Well usually whenever I take anything to help me sleep which is usually only benadryl because I can't take other OTC PM medicines since they give me restless leg, I end up feeling really tired the next day. Today was like no other and so I was super tired and cranky so everyone went on the boat and I took a nap.

Well apparently my Mom and brother both asked think I am pregnant now! My mom looks at my and goes is there something you want to tell me? I was like no Mom, I am not pregnant. Then my sister tells me Dustin asked her and so when he walked out and smiled at me I said shut up, I am not pregnant. Sibling love lol.

Oh and the movie Going the Distance, not worth the trip to the movies. Sorry Drew and Justin, better luck next time.

Anyway, Ash and I went to Calypsos and had some cracked conch and there was a dolphin swimming by the dock! I have never seen one swim that close to a dock before. So cool!

Going to see this with the family today! Bran has to work this weekend so I am going to the Keys with my family and the boat is messed up so we are going to a movie and dinner which we love going to when we are there because theater is so small and cute. My Mom won't see a movie in a regular theater so its nice to go when we are there.

I can't wait to see it!

that is the question...

I think I am going to take a pregnancy test tomorrow. I feel like my period should be here any day since I got a positive OPK 2 weeks ago this Sunday so why not test tomorrow morning? I only have a dollar tree test so hopefully if I am pregnant it will pick it up.

I am going to the Keys tomorrow for the weekend so hopefully if I test and its positive I can keep it quiet so Bran doesn't know and surprise him when I get back on Sunday since he has to work and isn't going.

It's weird because I am getting a bit of deja vu from last time I was pregnant. I had my eyes checked today and I had them checked right before I found out last time so it's just kind of weird because its almost 2 years since I found out I was pregnant before.

We are getting Disney Seasonal Passes!!! I am so excited. I know, I know. Who buys passes to theme parks when they are trying to get pregnant? THIS GIRL! There is more to the parks then just hardcore rides so I think if I get preggers I will be fine with ridding the kiddie rides and seeing shows. My sister is going to get a pass to so she can ride the non-pregger lady rides if I do get knocked up.

There is just something about Disney that makes me so happy. It was something I did so much as a kid. My Dad would wake us up at like 4AM and Ash and I would whine and pass back out in the van then wake up and annoy our Dad with a nice round of It's a Small World singing and my Mom would laugh.  Then we would go straight to the park as it was opening and it just felt so perfect. The music they play as you are walking in, the castle right in front of you at Magic Kingdom. I love all the parks. Animal Kingdom is probably my least favorite only because it doesn't have enough rides yet but I am sure it will get there eventually. I know my way around the parks like no other and which rides to hit first. I speed walk the whole way and can spot a first timer in a heartbeat. Ash and I used to go so much that when we got older we would go alone and run around the park and hit all the rides in no time. It was so fun. I have so many pictures of going there, I am going to have to dig them out because those were seriously some of the best times.

One of my all time favorite times though was with Branden for my 25th birthday. We went to Orlando for a whole week and went to all parks minus Animal Kingdom and also went to the Universal ones. Bran had only been to Magic Kingdom once so it was great going with a somewhat first timer.

Here are some pics. I just love them because it was one of our first real vacations together. P.S. These pictures made me realize I am a real graceful eater.
