Ever find the perfect gift for the perfect person? You know this is a hot item but don't have the immediate means to buy it right then and there. What do you do? Put it on layaway of course! Then you look around, walk to the back of the store, walk to the front of the store and there is no sign of a layaway department. How is this even possible? You think, okay if I come back in two weeks, I will have the money to buy the item and it will be the best gift ever. Then two weeks later the item is sold out, everywhere.
Sound familiar? Yeah, this actually happened to me. It was Christmas time and I knew my husband had to have a specific digital camera. I, of course, wanted to get him this gift but since bills were due and I didn't want him to know I was buying a big item for him from our bank account so I knew layaway was the best option. Come to find out the store didn't offer this amazing service. Had I gone to Kmart to purchase the camera I would have been able to put the item on layaway right then and there. Talk about a convenient option for their customers. As a mother now buying for a little boy you bet I will be buying his Christmas gifts from Kmart and using their hand layaway program.
Many other retailers try to offer similar layaway options but they don't quite match up to Kmart's unique layaway program that also allows for a person to pay for their items in an 8 to 12 week time span if you sign up today through November 17th for free layaway. I compared this layaway program to Best Buys and their service fee is 5% and you must put 25% down but the minimum purchase has to be at least $250 so in this case they far exceed Kmart's low layaway fees and down payment.
If you want to start your Holiday shopping then now is the time! Don't worry about not having enough money to spend in one shopping trip. Go to Kmart and put your holiday gifts on layaway before they sell out!
Below is a chart that will help you see what a great option Kmart's laway really is.
If you go now you can also win your items on your layaway list in Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway! I know I will be crossing my fingers for a chance to win! What can be better then a great layaway program? Winning free gifts from their giveaway, of course!
