Today has felt like a very long day. I didn't get the best nights sleep last night since I was upset over some news my Dad told me and then I had nightmares.
My Dad told me last night that when Tyson has his teeth cleaned and they did an X-Ray on his nose it didn't look good. He thinks it is cancer and after researching online I do too. He needs to see a specialist but from what I have read the prognosis is terrible. I don't know what I am going to do. I am devastated. He has been my baby for 5 years. In fact it has been 5 years this month since I got him. I got him at 2 years old so he is 7.
I also had 2 labs today and the first one was so annoying and the second we had a quiz and it was freaking hard. My two friends and I left there thinking what the heck was that.
Then I got home around 5 and we took the dogs to the dog park since it was Tanner and Simon's birthdays. They are 3! We had fun with them. They love walking around and seeing other dogs. The weather was perfect for it. I hate when its really hot and we can't stay long.
After that we went to dinner with our roommate Daniel. We went to see our friend Jimmy at Longhorn and so it was pretty nice.
Then we got home and I had a melt down over Tyson having cancer. I am so sad about this. I can't even explain it. I can not imagine parents that have to deal with this for their children. We know our dogs will die usually around 10 to 12 years of age but when you have this precious 7 year old little guy who could live longer then 12 since he is a tiny dog (my mom's dog is a shih tzu/maltese mix and is 16) I never thought I would have to deal with him having cancer and dying. I just have to pray he doesn't suffer in any way.
Now that I am depressed I am going to get off here. At least tomorrow I don't have work or school and can go lay out with my friend Maggie at my parents by their new pool! Tyson will be spending the day with us since I am going to take him wherever I can.

I can't even handle the cuteness of this. My baby will be sporting this since he or she will be totally loved by his or her lesbian aunts which is my best friend and her wife. I love them to death and my best friend is basically a sister to me.

I am thinking of getting a day bed for the nursery. I think it will be nice to have a bed in there in case there is a long night with the baby or if we have a guest. Has anyone put a bed in their nursery and did it get a decent amount of use? Was it worth the buy? I am debating between these two at IKEA. The baby's furniture is white but I love the design of the darker one.

12 weeks 4 days!
We had our 12 week NT scan on Thursday morning. It was amazing. The baby was jumping like it was on a trampoline. At first the baby was just lying there and it scared me but then it was moving around and jumping and flipping. It looked like it was having the best time. The baby also measured about 4 days ahead and so the ultrasound showed the baby was due around July 31st but they won't change my due date since it is less then 5 days ahead. I think if the baby is still measuring ahead at the next one I will change my ticker at least. I wonder if the baby will be born on our anniversary! We also announced the pregnancy on facebook and got so many nice comments. There are so many great people we know.
We got back in a few weeks to find out the baby's gender. It was hard to see on this ultrasound. She said she thought she didn't see something then she thought she did but couldn't be sure. Not sure if that something meant a boy or if she just meant she might be able to tell. Either way we are doing the gender party so I will tell her to not tell us and write it down and we will give it to Ash and she will have the baker make a cake with pink or blue in the middle!

Tomorrow we go for our 12 week NT scan!!!! I am excited to see the baby with Branden and my Mom. The last time he saw the baby on the ultrasound was at 8 weeks so the baby looked like a little nugget then. I can not wait! Please pray everything goes well. We will also be announcing to everyone who doesn't know that we are pregnant so I am very excited about that.

This past week has been so hectic. My classes started back up and I go Tuesday, Thursday and Friday then babysit Monday from 8am to 6pm and Wednesday from 8am to 6pm then from 7:45 to about 10 or so then Thursday night babysit around the same time except this Thursday it was 7:15 to about 11:45. Well by Thursday night I was so sick. I thought I had gotten over the cold I had but it seemed to be back in action on Thursday. My friend Ali from class said she had a fever and felt horrible so of course I got whatever she had. I didn't sleep at all Thursday night so I called my doctor and made an appointment and missed my classes on Friday. I was given an antibiotic and told I could take Robutussin for my cough. I went home slept and woke up feeling worse. I had a bit of a fever at 101.1 and just couldn't eat or drink anything. Then by that night forget it, I was a mess. I woke up twice and threw up, which was basically nothing since I had barely eaten or drank anything. I kept getting really hot and achey all over. The next morning my Mom came over and called my doctor and he called back and said go to the ER since you are pregnant. You don't want to risk anything. So we went. They gave me fluids, Tamaflu and some Tylenol with codeine to help with my cough and so I could sleep. I finally felt better after all that and was able to go home. I have felt a lot better since but still have a terrible cough. I feel a bit tired still but at least I am not aching all over, that felt like the worst part in a way.
As for everything else, I am doing ok. I have the 12 week NT scan on Thursday! I am incredibly excited about that. I need to do an 11 week update but I probably won't do a belly pic since I am in bed but I basically look the same.

About 11 weeks

Today I had an appointment and it was with a new doctor. He rocked. I really liked him. He was so sweet and concerned and I think I actually like him more then my previous doctor. Anyway they did an ultrasound since I was in the ER and had a "threatened miscarriage" and everything looks amazing. It was the most incredible thing to see this baby. He was moving his legs and kicking like crazy and waving one hand while the other was behind his head. So cute! So far this has been the best experience during this pregnancy so far!
I also started classes today and so now I am exhausted. I go next week for the 12 week NT scan. I hope that goes well.

So the weather has finally started to get warm again. Today it was about 75 degrees, which in my opinion, is perfect! I went to Target and got a strapless dress. I had bought one last year in November and hadn't had a chance to wear it since it had been cold but I wore it today and it was the perfect thing to wear. Since my jeans are getting tight it is nice to wear a dress. I went ahead and got another one in another color and I might buy one more but this one in black. The ones I have now are purple and turquoise. It will be nice to wear for spring.
We are going to the Keys on Friday for the night. I love going to our house there. It will be nice to get away but now that I am thinking about it traffic might suck since it is a long weekend and we won't be leaving till after I get home from class. I guess we will see what time we actually leave. Either way spending Saturday there will be nice. My friend Lisa is also coming down with her dog so we will probably get together on Sunday and go to the dog park with all the dogs.
Tonight my family is going out to eat for my sister in law's birthday. That should be nice. My sister is really sick so she isn't going. Poor thing! We all got sick this week but she seems to have gotten the worst of it.
Not to much else has been going on. Tuesday morning in my doctor appointment! I am very excited about it. I am a little nervous too since it is a different doctor then I usually see. Hope he is nice!

How far along? 10 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 2lbs
10 weeks
9 weeks
Maternity clothes? Bought jeans but haven't worn them yet.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Have issues with sleeping because I have a cold but even before that it was not the best.
Best moment this week: This week has been kind of crappy since I have been sick.
Movement: Not yet
Food cravings: hmm I guess Menchies frozen yogurt
Gender: Still think boy
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? Innie
What I miss: Not feeling super fat all the time
What I am looking forward to: Doctor appointment that got moved to Tuesday

Weekly Wisdom: Sleep now
Milestones: Making it past 10 weeks!

Right now I have a cold and it is awful. Last night I was up all night with a sore throat. I only took 1 tylenol at 1AM then another at 5 and then went to the Minute Clinic at 9AM and she told me I can take two if i need. I haven't needed to but if I can't sleep tonight I might have to. I think not sleeping is making it worse. I did sleep from about noon to 5 today. Branden has to work from 6 to 2am and he just called and thinks he has a pinched nerve. Poor guy, if he is in pain something must be wrong. He never complains when he is in pain or sick. I am hoping it goes away or else we will be heading to the ER.
I am excited for my doctor appointment on Tuesday. It got rescheduled because my doctor is sick so I have to see another doctor. Class also start on Tuesday so I go to the doctor then have class all day. I am not looking forward to that. I just want to hear the baby's heartbeat to make sure he or she is ok. I also have anther ultrasound on the 20th for our 12 week NT scan. I can not wait. I think we will get a good picture of the baby. I hope we can find out what we are having. I have this insanely strong feeling we are having a boy so I kind of want to know if I am right lol. Everyone else thinks girl except Branden, he also thinks boy but both our Mom's think girl. Either way we are going to be so happy. I also just want to start calling this baby a name and not baby all the time. If we can't find out I won't be to upset though, I know we will have to wait till the 20 week one to know for sure anyway and even then you can get wrong results.
Not to much else has been going on just work and now school starting. I promise to update more!

VS.

Ever since my first pregnancy, that sadly ended in a miscarriage, I have known I wanted to do cloth diapers for my baby. I love doing things that are environmentally awesome and good for my future children.  Cloth diapers seemed like a no brainer for me.

Ever since I have been looking at many different brands and types. I am not a huge nut about covers so that wasn't my main concern. I didn't care how cute they were so I focused mainly on what would be the easiest to use for myself and other family members that may watch the baby.

My first thought was Gdiapers. They seemed really easy and a good option for using cloth or disposable inserts in case you are on vacation or having a babysitter. They seemed to be gaining popularity and just over all seemed simple but I am not 100% set on them. I may buy a few for babysitters or back ups.

I went looking further and found Flip diapers. These are so far the top runner. I love that they have a plastic type cover so you basically only need a couple covers and you don't have to throw those in the washer you can wipe them down unless they get very gross from a poopy diaper but as long as they don't get soiled you just change the inserts. I think that seems to be the easiest option yet. I think the pocket ones seem nice but the fact that you have to wash each cover over and over again seems like you would end up doing a lot of laundry which kind of prevents the purpose of saving the environment in my opinion. I would rather buy a bunch of inserts and have maybe 4 to 6 covers (not 100% sure on how many you need at first) and only need to wash the inserts maybe 2 times per week instead of every other day which I have seen people say is a pretty common washing cycle for cloth diapers. I could be wrong on this though so don't hold me to it. I am by no means an expert but so far this seems to be what we will be getting as our main diaper system.

I am not opposed to other diaper systems because I am sure we might want a few cute covers but overall on a daily basis that is not going to be the main concern. If anyone has an tips or uses Flip's and can give me pointers on how many covers to buy that would be awesome.

Oh and on another cool note the covers can be worn from newborn to the end of potty training! Talk about saving money!
