Natural Living: Kids' Bathroom Items

by - July 14, 2016

So I haven't turned into a complete hippie Mama yet but after purging our bathroom items I am definitely hooked on the natural.
If you want to read more about my purging experience go here first.
So I went ahead and bought some great products from Whole Foods and Amazon. Let's start with the kids items.

I went ahead and stuck with Honest products for them. When I used the Think Dirty App they ranked lower than most other ones I checked. I also loved that this Deeply Nourishing Shampoo & Body Wash and Deeply Nourishing Conditioner had a pump bottle. I have used Honest in the past and liked it but just never ended up buying it again so I was excited to try this new scent, Sweet Orange Vanilla. Seriously guys it is amazing. Not overly strong but I was surprised at how nice of a scent it really was. I have to buy conditioner for Ashlyn because her curls can get out of control. I had this curly shampoo for her and just used a random conditioner in the past for but this one was the bomb! The kids were playing around after their bath and I was like "Branden, look at how perfect her curls look!" I am guessing because it is light and natural so it doesn't have a bunch of stuff that stays in her hair weighing it down.
I did also buy the Honest conditioning detangler but didn't end up needing to use it because the conditioner did a really nice job. I will probably end up trying that out in the morning when she has slept on her hair and it gets crazy. I am curious to see if it keeps her curls bouncy once we comb through them.
Next up was Tom's Silly Strawberry Toothpaste. The kids seemed to like it so that was good. I was worried they wouldn't because it looks almost grey and not as thick as their previous toothpaste. Like maybe it taste tuck to them? So far no complaints.
If you are interested in trying Honest company items you can get a free trial of your favorite Honest bundle. You do pay shipping but it's worth it for all you get. I did this in the past with their diaper bundle and loved it. If you already know you love Honest company or just want to take the plunge you can get $10 off a minimum purchase of $25 with promo code GET10 at checkout.
Hope this helps anyone who is wanting to take the more natural approach to living. I will do a post on some products I started using for myself soon.
