Ok so here is the deal, I have been moving away from my semi-vegetarian status and moving over to the sometimes vegetarian status. I know, I know, don't hate me.


My confession comes just days after eating at a new and delicious burger place in Ft. Lauderdale called BurgerFi. This place isn't just your regular burger joint. When I think of a burger place I think of Five Guys. Quick, easy and to the point. No fuss, no muss. No bells and whistles, nada.

BurgerFi on the other hand is like burger Heaven. You walk past an outside patio area through their large, open sliding doors into the restaurant and it is like walking into something out of the Jetson's. The look is a bit futuristic with a mix of clean, professional, stylish charm. Does that even make sense? Who knows. Anyway, the minute you walk in you are in amazement that this is a burger joint.

We met with the owner, Nick Falcone, who was so awesome and put our orders in. Branden, had their B.A.D. (Breakfast All Day) Burger which has "Natural Angus burger, American cheese, hickory bacon drizzled with maple syrup, fried egg, hashbrowns, grilled diced onions, and ketchup ". He is way more brave than me when it comes to trying things out of the ordinary. I decided to go with the  Prime Brisket Cheeseburger which had "Double natural prime brisket burger, Swiss cheese, blue cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and BurgerFi® sauce".  We also ordered their the Urban Fries from their Secret Menu. Let me just tell you, those are to die for! 
We grabbed our drinks from probably the coolest soda fountain's ever! The Coca-Cola Freestyle is a touch screen soda fountain where it mixes the drinks if you want or if you want a plain old Diet Coke, you can do that as well. I may have been a bit too into this machine. I just love creative touches like that. 
Now onto the burgers. First of all I kind of wish I had been a bit more adventurous and got the B.A.D. burger because it was so ah-mah-zing! Mine was super delicious too because I am a blue cheese lovin' girl but I need to really get out of my comfort zone. Ace chowed down on a grilled cheese and the Urban fries and couldn't have been happier. The Urban Fries were like nothing I have had before. The garlic aioli on top was just perfect. We only got one basket of fries and we were able to split that between the three of us and still had some left over. 
After our burgers were done (well, I still had half mine because I may have pigged out on the fries) we got dessert. The manager, Mike, asked us what we would like and we told him to surprise us and boy did he! We thought he was going to just bring out one dessert but he got us two! 
He brought us the O.M.C. (Oh My Chocolate) Concrete which is filled with "Chocolate custard, peanut butter, brownie, chocolate chips, and chocolate sprinkles " and the Tropical Freeze Concrete which has "Vanilla custard, caramel, mango, and coconut ". Branden hogged the O.M.C. while Ace and I had the Tropical Freeze. I am a big peanut butter lover so I really loved the O.M.C. and Ace is a big fruit guy so the Tropic Freeze was right up his alley. 
Overall our experience at BurgerFi was really awesome. The food was great, the staff was friendly and knowledgable about their menu, which is always important to me, and I loved how clean and eco-friendly the place was. 
I definitely plan on going back there again and trying a new burger. Did I mention you can replace the bun with lettuce if you want? I think that might be my next adventure.
