Perfectly Imperfect Mom: Pictures

I have been slack-a-lackin over here but I swear it isn't my fault! We have been super busy to say the least so hold on tight for a photo overload. First of all how adorable are my girls in these flower crowns I made?

Ok so moving on… First of all we were always for a bit hanging with Mickey at Disney World.

Ace had his last soccer game where he "won". Every time he walks off the field he won, so it's super cute and adorable.

I went to Target again, check out my booties? I am OBSESSED. By the way when my husband saw this picture the only thing he cared about was how much stuff was in my tiny basket behind me, oy! My sister had her baby!

Ms. Valentina came at 1:17am and was 7 lbs 5ozs of adorable-ness

Ace's doll got a tattoo at preschool, apparently us not writing his name on it meant they had to in the most obnoxious place. I love his school but come on! Thankfully this doll was free and he doesn't seem to mind.

I got these adorable sticky notes at the dollar section at Target, are you sensing a trend here? This might be why my husband was eyeing my basket with concern.

And the most devastating thing of all happened, Ashlyn spilled Branden's chocolate milk onto our new rug, sigh. Thankfully Bran was able to get it up.

Ace,

You are 23 months old and I am in complete shock you will be 2 in a month.

I love you so much and I can not even imagine having a more incredible child.

Your Daddy and I sometimes just look at each other and say "Can you believe how lucky we got?" and it is so true. You are overall a very happy child, love to meet new people and are always making people laugh. You love to talk and explore.

I love that you pick up on things so easily too. I think you get that from your Daddy.

You love to "help" Daddy with house projects like hanging curtains or anything that involves tools.

You are obsessed with cars, trucks, buses, boats, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Cubby (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) your water table, going outside, sitting on the dogs and throwing balls.

You have been obsessed with shoes. You will put on anyone's shoes you can find.

You are so polite, you will tell us excuse me, thank you, bless you and you have even said good morning to people.

You started swim lessons and gymnastics class which you love and are awesome at.

We had an early birthday party for you yesterday with our Michigan family and friends.

You lost another grandparent this past month as well. Grandpa Herman was such a sweet man and loved you very much. My heart aches that you will never truly know 3 of your grandparents.

It has been a great month with you as usual and we can't wait to see what next month brings because you will be turning 2!

Last Friday a few friends and I brought our kids to the pumpkin patch. We had all gone last year together and the kids were all so little then that we just sat around talking and got a group shot. It was way easier back then but this year it definitely meant more. Ace had a great time playing and even has a new girlfriend, Payton. Her Mom, Lindsay and I, have known each other since first grade. Actually most of us have been friends since elementary school so it is awesome that our kids are all around the same age. Lindsay brought her camera and took some incredible shots of the kids. This one has got to be my all time favorite picture of Ace. It just shows his personality perfectly. So happy and just ready to go have fun.

Her daughter Payton loved Ace. She seriously was obsessed with him and kept grabbing his shirt and then hugging him. They are probably the most, I guess you could say, assertive of the bunch. They are more fearless too. We have always seen a lot of similarities in them so it was funny how much they connected.

A couple weeks ago Branden and I decided to do an at home smash cake photo session. We made the cake and set up the backyard with some decorations we were using for his birthday party and went to work. Let me just tell you it was a mess! I loved every minute of it and I am pretty sure Ace did too. He just stared at the cake and ripped into it. The cake didn't stand a chance.
