Perfectly Imperfect Mom

Adonis is 8 weeks old today! We had taken him in the pediatrician yesterday to make sure he was ok because he seems to have a sensitive tummy. Doctor said he seems fine but to try a few things and it seems like he is already better today without trying anything, isn't that the way things always work out?
He was weighed yesterday and he is 9lbs 13ozs. Not sure on height but we go Friday for his 2 month check up and I will update all his stats. I need to start seeing what his head measurements are.
Today I started working on getting him on a schedule. Eating 4ozs every 3 hours and trying to get him to bed by 10:30. So far the schedule during the day worked but bedtime has been hard. I am hoping by next week we will have him going down and not needing us to completely rock him to sleep.
Today I also tried out one of his Gdiapers. I am bummed that the size small already seems snug on him. It says it goes to 13lbs but I doubt it will last. He looked super cute in it though. It was also the start of college football so we dressed him up in his Michigan onsie and cap since Branden is a huge fan. I need to get that boy some South Florida stuff!
Tomorrow is the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 so hopefully everyone is safe and remembering those lost!

My amazing baby boy is now 7 weeks old. He is so aware now, he will just stare at people and look at things and smile. His smiles are few and far between but he is getting it more and more.
Today my sister was giving him kisses and he smiled at her, she was so excited. She is so obsessed with Adonis, it is the sweetest thing.
We also had a little "sprinkle" for my brother and his wife. Their baby is due the first week of October but he really could come anytime since she has had so much preterm labor. This will be their fourth and final baby so it will be nice that he is close in age to Adonis.
Not to much else has been going on. I might be getting a tutoring job 4 days a week for 2 hours so that will be a nice little income for extras. I am dying to go shopping but don't want to really spend money since Bran is the only one working and we have a lot of trips coming up. We are going to Orlando the 24th so that will be exciting! I also get to see one of my bestfriends and her family. I miss them so much so I can not wait.

My little man has come a long way since, well, yesterday!

The past week has been rough. Ace has been fussy and colicy and it just broke my heart.

This morning it all changed. He smiled at us, twice! We were sure it was a possible fluke but he smiled and that was all that mattered. He also has been less gassy and fussy. It's like he woke up and decided to just enjoy the day.

Later on in the day I went to get him out of his swing, that he actually sat in for a bit staring at his toys and he smiled at me when I kissed him! I instantly kissed him more and more and did things to try to get him to smile and he did. Then I was on the phone with my Dad and I laughed and he did a little cooing laugh. So sweet.

On Friday we went to the Keys, it was Ace's first trip to our family's house there. He basically slept the day away and was up a lot of the night of course! He didn't do much but hang out inside since he can't wear sunscreen yet but it was nice to go down there.
He turned 6 weeks on Saturday when we were there so of course I took a picture of him!

Today was Ace's 1 month old doctor appointment. He was pissed the second we got there. We went in the room and I started to feed him then of course he had to be naked for his weight to be taken. After that we put him in a clean diaper and waited for the doctor, I fed him till she got there and right before he had the nastiest diaper ever! Then he started peeing as we are changing him. Branden and I got our hands soaked trying to avoid getting him covered in pee. Then the doctor gets there and he is upset again because he has to lay on the table and get examined. Then he pees again in his diaper so we have to change him a third time lol. We left there with no more diapers in the diaper bag. I forgot my Mom had used the others last time I was at her house and thankfully I had checked the wipes before we left and had Branden add more to the holder, had we not had those we would have been screwed.
