So freaking excited. I have been having some messed up cycles; June 24th was a two week late and prior to that they had been pretty consistent. Now here I am waiting almost 2 months late for my period to get here and still nothing. I decide to randomly take an OPK test this morning and it was positive!

I had taken them in May for about 2 weeks when I thought I was ovulating and never got a positive. I thought maybe I did them wrong so I stopped taking them about 5 days before I thought my period was coming. That was of course the month and I was 2 weeks late. So I didn't bother using them the next month and good thing because I didn't even ovulate till now!

So, now here I am wondering what I can do to help things along. How can I make this work. How can I make sure my egg and his guys meet up...Yeah, I am thinking I have no control but really wishing I did!

Hi there! My name is Brenna and I have been married for a year to my amazing husband Branden.  We live in sunny South Florida with our 2 dogs, 2 fish, 2 roommates and their 2 cats. We are a house of pairs.
I decided to start this blog because we have been TTC for about almost a year. We threw out the BC about a month after we got married but decided not to "try" just to see what happens for the first couple of months since we weren't in a complete rush. Now almost a year later and we are wondering what the heck is going on?!
We have not been hardcore like some, no temping, only tried OPK's for a couple of weeks have yet to speak to my OBGYN. I have decided though, that at 26 it should not have taken a year, it should have taken a few months and am now going to make an apt. with my OBGYN to see what is going on. I am also 2 months late and the month before I was 2 weeks late. That isn't normal. My cycle should be getting more and more normal as the months go on after being off BC and it was getting there and then one fluke month, BAM! It was late, I was excited, did a little dance, took a test and a BFN stared me in the face. I was devastated. Now I am late again, didn't do a little dance and took a test and another BFN.  I am crossing my fingers, hoping and praying for a BFP before going to the doctor but time will tell.

Why I blog..

I started this blog back in 2010 because my husband and I were TTC (trying to conceive) our first child.  I had read many other blogs of women who had gone through similar fertility issues and decided to chronicle our journey.  It took us 14 months to get pregnant with our beautiful son and it has been the most amazing experience.  I found that blogging through my pregnancy and now through my son's life I am able to have a record of all the things I experienced and went through. It has been amazing to look back and see how much I have changed from a girl who desperately wanted a child to a Mom with the best job and life anyone could ask for. If you are interested in working with me through my blog please check out my PR Page or email me.

About Our Family...

My husband and I met while looking for roommates in 2006.  I didn't know he was a guy by his ad so we decided we didn't want guys as roommates and Branden and I began dating a few months later.  We got engaged 10 months after becoming an official couple and married a year and a half later on August 1, 2009. We knew we wanted to have a baby and decided to try for a baby right away. Little did we know that it would take us over a year to get pregnant with our son. Adonis Scott Eugene was born on July 16, 2011 at 11:17 am and was 6 lbs 4 ozs and 19inches long. He is one of the happiest, funniest babies I have ever been around and I feel we are truly blessed to have such an easy going baby.

Infertility...

Branden and I both loved children and knew right from the start we wanted to have a baby.  Having a previous pregnancy end in miscarriage made getting pregnant again somewhat scary but we knew it was what we wanted. To our surprise it was not happening right away and decided once we had been trying for a year it was time for me to go in and get blood work done. My doctor found that I had PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Surprisingly after we got a diagnosis and right before starting fertility medications we got pregnant with our son!
