Perfectly Imperfect Mom

Today we got an ultrasound to find out what the baby is. The baby is getting so big and the ultrasound was amazing. Both my parents came as well as my sister and friend Maggie as well as Branden, of course. We didn't actually find out the gender but the tech who is a friend told Ashley what the baby is. We will find out on the 20th with our family and close friends. My friend Kat will make a cake with pink or blue in the middle so we will see what the gender is that way. I am so unbelievably excited to find out.

About 11 weeks

Today I had an appointment and it was with a new doctor. He rocked. I really liked him. He was so sweet and concerned and I think I actually like him more then my previous doctor. Anyway they did an ultrasound since I was in the ER and had a "threatened miscarriage" and everything looks amazing. It was the most incredible thing to see this baby. He was moving his legs and kicking like crazy and waving one hand while the other was behind his head. So cute! So far this has been the best experience during this pregnancy so far!
I also started classes today and so now I am exhausted. I go next week for the 12 week NT scan. I hope that goes well.

Today started out with me feeling very icky. It's very cold here for Florida weather and of course it's making my morning sickness worse. I have yet to throw up but that feeling of right before you are going to puke is no fun. I was laying around when the nurse called from my doctors office. She asked if I wanted to come in today instead of Monday and I jumped at the chance. I went in and got an ultrasound and first my doctor tried over the belly and he actually saw our baby! He even saw the heartbeat. Then he said let's do the vaginal one to measure and really see the heartbeat. He did it and WOW! That little one had a heartbeat and looked amazing. My doctor was very excited and said this looks great. You are 5 weeks 5 days and I am surprised we got the heartbeat but it looks really good. He said this looks like a viable pregnancy!!! I am so happy. The only way it could have been better is if Branden was there. He had to take a final so he couldn't come but he is coming next time!!
