Perfectly Imperfect Mom

Ok so I spoke to my doctor about my blood work and what we are going to about this whole baby making process.
He said my blood work looked good but I have signs of PCOS. He said that what we will do next month if I am not pregnant is he will do an ultrasound and then if I don't have any cysts he will give me Clomid! I feel like we are heading in the right direction.
I also had an appt. with the Ear Nose and Throat doctor and he gave me nasal sprays to help with my allergies that seem to make my tonsils act up.
It has been a long day.
After that my Mom and I went to Pier 1 and she got a call from my brother and he told her my nephew Christiaan got hit by a car! He is ok though, thank God. He is still in the hospital so I am waiting on details on if he is going to have to stay or what all is wrong.
Please say a little prayer for him that he heals fast.

I was right! I took a digital OPK and got a happy face!! Now the next hurdle will be the 2 week wait!

It's Monday again. The weekend went by to fast. I ended up being sick with tonsilitis most of it too.

Friday Branden and I went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, so good!

Saturday was my cousin's baby shower, which was fun but also really hard. Everyone asked me when we would be having a baby. If they only knew how hard we are trying! My cousin's baby's name is going to be Colton. I love that name! My sister and I spent Friday night making a diaper cake. It turned out pretty good and my cousin loved it. I was really proud of us. We also went to Target before that and I realized we probably shouldn't be allowed in stores together because we turn into little kids. We hit all the buttons on toys that make noise, dress up in weird things. It was a lot of fun though.
Then on Sunday I went to the Minute Clinic again and I have tonsilitis. So now I am going to the ENT doctor on Thursday after my OBGYN appt.

Today my sister, Mom and I went to Baby's R' Us to shop for my cousin's baby shower. The same cousin who started TTC after me and got pregnant on like her 3rd try. But that is beside the point. Anyway we go there and of course my baby fever is insane there. I am looking at all the baby things I want to register for since I know most things I want from working with children for so long. I immediately tell my Mom how I will be getting the Angel Heart monitor since its amazing and blah blah blah. We decide to go with a bath theme and buy all this really cute stuff. My sister and I are also going to attempt to make a diaper cake too. I am super excited and on the way out I see all these baby clothes and I desperately want to buy something for my future baby despite it not even being conceived yet.  Instead I buy a super cute outfit similar to the one the baby I watch had when he was a few months old. It was my favorite so I figured my  cousin will love it too.
Then we drop my Mom off at home and my sister and I need to get a few more things for the diaper cake and diapers. We go through the baby section and I tell my sister I have to buy a baby outfit for my future baby. It was like this insane feeling and I had to do it. So of course my sister says ok but only something really girlie and cute. Makes sense to me since I bought my cousin a boy outfit which helped get that out of my system so I see THE cutest outfit ever! It is this black sweater with white dots on it with little tiny boys on the sleeves and a tutu type skirt. I almost died when I saw it. I immediately grabbed it and put it in the cart. I was in love. I have to have a daughter one day. I can not even explain how much I love girlie clothes. Anyway I am basically slightly insane now. Here is the outfit for a baby that does not even exist yet.

Ok so my baby fever is back! I am wanting a baby like crazy right now. We haven't been preventing so I am hoping it will happen. We had our trip to Disney so I am glad that is out of the way and I got to do all that fun stuff and not be pregnant but now I am ready to get this thing going again. I need to make an apt. with my OBGYN to get my test results back from my blood work to make sure everything is ok.

So we are in the Keys this weekend at my parents vacation home and last night I asked my mom if I could take a sleeping pill because I had allergies and was sharing a room with Ashley and her dog (Bran was back home working) and Ash and her dog have an insane case of the mouth breather train snorer syndrome. My mom gave me one and I passed out. Well usually whenever I take anything to help me sleep which is usually only benadryl because I can't take other OTC PM medicines since they give me restless leg, I end up feeling really tired the next day. Today was like no other and so I was super tired and cranky so everyone went on the boat and I took a nap.

Well apparently my Mom and brother both asked think I am pregnant now! My mom looks at my and goes is there something you want to tell me? I was like no Mom, I am not pregnant. Then my sister tells me Dustin asked her and so when he walked out and smiled at me I said shut up, I am not pregnant. Sibling love lol.

Oh and the movie Going the Distance, not worth the trip to the movies. Sorry Drew and Justin, better luck next time.

Anyway, Ash and I went to Calypsos and had some cracked conch and there was a dolphin swimming by the dock! I have never seen one swim that close to a dock before. So cool!

I think I am going to take a pregnancy test tomorrow. I feel like my period should be here any day since I got a positive OPK 2 weeks ago this Sunday so why not test tomorrow morning? I only have a dollar tree test so hopefully if I am pregnant it will pick it up.

I am going to the Keys tomorrow for the weekend so hopefully if I test and its positive I can keep it quiet so Bran doesn't know and surprise him when I get back on Sunday since he has to work and isn't going.

It's weird because I am getting a bit of deja vu from last time I was pregnant. I had my eyes checked today and I had them checked right before I found out last time so it's just kind of weird because its almost 2 years since I found out I was pregnant before.

We are getting Disney Seasonal Passes!!! I am so excited. I know, I know. Who buys passes to theme parks when they are trying to get pregnant? THIS GIRL! There is more to the parks then just hardcore rides so I think if I get preggers I will be fine with ridding the kiddie rides and seeing shows. My sister is going to get a pass to so she can ride the non-pregger lady rides if I do get knocked up.

There is just something about Disney that makes me so happy. It was something I did so much as a kid. My Dad would wake us up at like 4AM and Ash and I would whine and pass back out in the van then wake up and annoy our Dad with a nice round of It's a Small World singing and my Mom would laugh.  Then we would go straight to the park as it was opening and it just felt so perfect. The music they play as you are walking in, the castle right in front of you at Magic Kingdom. I love all the parks. Animal Kingdom is probably my least favorite only because it doesn't have enough rides yet but I am sure it will get there eventually. I know my way around the parks like no other and which rides to hit first. I speed walk the whole way and can spot a first timer in a heartbeat. Ash and I used to go so much that when we got older we would go alone and run around the park and hit all the rides in no time. It was so fun. I have so many pictures of going there, I am going to have to dig them out because those were seriously some of the best times.

One of my all time favorite times though was with Branden for my 25th birthday. We went to Orlando for a whole week and went to all parks minus Animal Kingdom and also went to the Universal ones. Bran had only been to Magic Kingdom once so it was great going with a somewhat first timer.

Okay, so I did it. I finally made the call to my OBGYN and made an apt. I am going in next Thursday to get an exam and blood work done.

I am going into this a little blind. Basically I just want to tell him it's been a year since we started TTC and my cycles are all F'd up but what else should I do or ask about?

Ok so I know I am only 8DPO but I got anxious and wanted to test. I did and of course it was a BFN. I shouldn't have wasted that test. I am so annoyed with myself.

Awhile back I had told Branden I thought it would be fun to have a party to find out the gender of the baby we finally get pregnant with. I had seen this on one of the Duggar shows, they went on the Today show and had a bakery bake a cake with blue or pink icing depending on the baby's gender. I thought this was such a great idea.
I just found an article on someone else doing it! I liked it because they added a few things to it such as a raffle with a gag gift as a prize.

It's a Party!

So I went to the grocery store with Branden and was walking around and I see this couple and the woman was pregnant. I looked at him and rolled my eyes! I am such a brat!

I feel like this whole 2 week wait situation is going to feel like forever.  It is what...day one? Yeah so basically I need to wait at least 10 days just to test but I should probably wait the full two weeks...yeah right!

On a not TTC note, today was the first day of classes. So far my classes seem like cake. First class is Psych. of Human Development and my professor focuses on babies and young children, score! The second class is Psych. of Reading with Keating who I have had 2 other times and lets just say this class can be passed by a middle schooler. He basically just gives us questions and we have to give our opinion on it. Third class is the lab to Psych. of Human Development and we get 200 points just for showing up, participating and completing some online thing. The class total is 500 points. Yeah, like I said a. piece. of. cake!
